We are writing to encourage all Granby residents to vote for Dave Roberts for the Granby Board of Finance in the Nov. 2 election. Dave and his family live in our West Granby neighborhood, and since retiring in 2017 he has been a very active volunteer throughout the Granby community. Whether supporting the Salmon Brook Historical Society, the Men’s Breakfast Group, Granby Conservation Commission, Lions Club, or volunteering in one of his children’s public schools, Dave is always willing to step forward and help.
In addition to his commendable volunteer service, Dave has a remarkable financial background that will serve him well on the Board of Finance. His former professional work at the local, state and federal levels of government, in addition to his former work in both the non-profit and private sectors as a corporate executive, as well as his strong educational background in economics and finance make him a highly qualified candidate for the Board of Finance.
On this Nov. 2, you can vote for up to three candidates to serve on our Board of Finance. We hope that you will join with us and vote for Dave Roberts as one of your three choices. In doing so, you will help maintain and improve the excellent quality of life for all Granby residents.

As a Granby resident, retired school employee, active community volunteer and long-time member of Lions Clubs International, I am writing to strongly encourage each of you to support Dave Roberts for the Granby Board of Finance in the upcoming election.
I have known Dave Roberts and his family, including his six children ages 8 to 26 years old, for a number of years and he is the epitome of the energizer bunny. Since his retirement after a distinguished four-decade-long career with local, state, and federal government, the private sector, and as a non-profit executive, I know that Dave Roberts will make a great member of the Board of Finance and bring additional talent to this board. I also find it remarkable that Dave served as an appointed federal policy advisor in the administrations of both Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Not many people can say that.
Dave works so well with all people to make them feel heard and understood, and I know he will work tirelessly to preserve every Granby resident’s quality of life. As a small businessman, Dave knows the value of business to a small community’s tax base.
Most importantly, Dave has a distinguished financial background and will be able to jump into this position on day one to serve our entire town.
