The Friends of Granby Public Library (FOGPL) will accept donations for its annual book sale from June 14 through July 17. Please start setting aside donations for this big annual event that will be held Sept. 24–26 at Holcomb Farm.

This year, for its 38th annual Used Book Sale, the Friends will gladly accept gently used items in good condition, including books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, games, toys, LP records, newer (2005-2020) textbooks, and other book related items. Please try to not load book boxes too heavily.

Drop off locations starting on June 14 will be at the following locations: Granby Public Library, Farmington Valley YMCA and Geissler’s supermarket in Granby during normal business hours. Please do not leave books outside the library or businesses. The Friends can also accept donations at Holcomb Farm on Monday evenings only from 6-7 p.m. from June 14 to July 17.

Also, sturdy boxes with lids, especially copier or printer paper boxes, would be welcome donations and put to good use when sorting and storing items to prepare for the sale.

Remember that your donations are the key to the yearly success of the used book sale and all proceeds go toward sponsoring many library programs and items throughout the year. If you have any questions, please email Friends.GPL@gmail.com or visit granby-ct.gov and go to the FOGPL page.
