New England Air Museum News

Following a successful outdoor-only opening on Memorial Day weekend, the New England Air Museum reopened all indoor and outdoor exhibit spaces in June. The museum will be open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.

McLean Meals on Wheels during the pandemic

The McLean Meals on Wheels program has continued to accept new clients during the pandemic and has been increasing weekday deliveries in all the towns served. Meals on Wheels delivers a hot and cold meal daily if desired.

Women’s Breakfast

Scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 9, with Manchester Community College instructor David Garnes whose topic will be 1939—Hollywood’s Greatest Year. This should be an entertaining event not to be missed.

Volunteers Needed

Mary’s Kitty Korner, Granby’s no-kill cat shelter, is looking for volunteers to help care for its kitties until they find their fur-ever homes. If you love cats and have some time to spare on a weekday morning or evening or on a weekend morning or afternoon, the shelter would love to hear from you.

MS Support Group

The Granby Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will resume when the Granby Senior Center reopens.

Recovering and reopening after COVID-19

The State of Connecticut has continued to make progress in flattening the COVID-19 curve and the Town of Granby has been monitoring information on a daily basis. As the town’s response continues, a Long-Term Recovery Committee and the Granby School Reopen Task Force have been established.

The Granby Public Library will continue its phased reopening plans as public and staff safety guidelines are met and managed. Regardless of the building status, the library will continue to offer services throughout the summer in a variety of ways.
