Longtime Granby resident, financial analyst and community organizer Audrey Lampert has launched her campaign for the Connecticut General Assembly.

“I am delighted to declare my campaign for State Representative of the 62nd District.” Lampert said. “Good governance begins with sound fiscal policy. Three decades of experience as a financial analyst, evaluating thousands of companies and municipalities, from small non-profits, to the largest global banks, provided me with a very broad look at how the diverse threads of our economy are woven together. My experience means I can represent my district’s economic interests effectively.”

Granby Board of Finance member Fred Moffa commented, “I’m excited about Audrey’s candidacy. She knows the issues and has the experience we need to lead Connecticut forward.”

Lampert adds, “I’m also fully engaged on social issues, and understand how they’re interconnected to our statewide economy. I’ve worked with individuals from all backgrounds, and know how important it is to cut through divisive rhetoric in order to remain focused on our mutual goals. I am looking forward to finding common sense solutions for Connecticut.”

Lampert grew up on a family farm in Missouri, and is a graduate of Lindenwood University. She and her husband Doug, a Gulf War veteran and addictions therapist, have two grown children. She is a member of the Democratic Town Committee and serves on the Granby Library Board. More information is available on the campaign website, LAMPERT2020.com
