Antique and Collectible Fundraiser: Saturday, April 4, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Visit the East Granby Community Center (20 Center Street, East Granby) to shop a variety of vendors selling antiques and collectibles. A portion of the proceeds will help support the library. 

Passport to Connecticut Libraries: Over 100 Connecticut libraries will participate in the Connecticut Library Association’s Passport to Connecticut Libraries Program. To celebrate National Library Week during April, this program invites you to visit all of the participating Connecticut public libraries. Visit at least five participating libraries and return your passport by May 7, to be entered into one state-wide drawing for a chance to win a $150 Visa gift card for adults (18 and up) and a $100 Visa gift card for children (under 18). Visits must occur between April 2 and April 30.

Tiny Signers: Mondays, starting April 20 for 5 weeks, at the library. This class that will teach children age 12 months or older and their caregivers basic American Sign Language through snacks, songs and games. Caregivers are expected to actively participate in the classes and learn with the children. Cost is $30 for all sessions (one caregiver and one child; each additional child is $10).  Call 860-653-3002 or register online at egpl.org. 

Fetch! Me a Story: Monday, April 27, 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. A registered therapy dog and handler, trained in the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program, will visit the library to meet individually (15-minute slots) with young readers. To register, visit the library or call 860-653-3002.

Zumba Kids: Tuesday, April 14, 12 to 12:45 p.m. For ages 6–11 years old.

LEGO Madness: Monday, April 13, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. We supply the Legos, you supply the creative vision. For ages 3 and over, drop in with a caregiver.

Perler Beading: Friday, April 17, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Pick from a variety of grid shapes and start creating. Ages 8 and over.

Family Movie Night: Thursday, April 30, 6 p.m., Frozen II

Wednesday Afternoon at the Movies: 1 p.m., we supply the popcorn
