Handcrafts from Around the World started 30 years ago when a group of local importers decided to offer the community the opportunity to purchase quality handcrafts from other countries all in one place. Since 2007 the sale has grown to include local artisans and nonprofits such as Camp Hispaniola, a summer camp for children from Haiti and the Dominican Republic and fair trade organizations Mayan Hands and Serrv. This year the sale is joined by Wreaths with a Reason, a nonprofit based in Agawam supporting the Underground Railroad Project whose mission is to rescue innocent children from human trafficking. Handcrafts continues to support The Heifer Project. Last year it was able to buy three goats for three different families.
