In our Nov. 5 local election, I am voting for Jim Lofink, a Democrat who has been on the Board of Selectman for several years. I hope you do too. Jim pays attention and listens. He has integrity. He is willing to take a stand. For example, he was an early advocate of separating the three funding votes (bridges, school matters, and solar power), which gave the public a meaningful vote. He has been an active volunteer in our community for many years—such as by contributing countless hours to the Friends of Holcomb Farm, from helping make policy to skilled hands-on work. He works hard for townspeople in whatever he does. He is doing a good job as a selectman—so vote for Jim Lofink.
