Kim Becker, chair of Granby Education Foundation (GEF), will speak to the Granby Civic Club on Thursday, Sept. 19, 1 p.m. at the Senior Center. The GEF is a nonprofit that funds innovative education projects that enrich and energize Granby residents of all ages to engage in lifelong learning. Kim and her husband Chris moved to Granby in 2008 and have two children, ages 12 and 14. Kim is also a member of the Kearns Community Center board and is involved in local and state politics. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
