All are suitable for Mother’s Day gifts for someone you love, including yourself.

Quilt Lecture

Marge Tucker, an international award-winning quilt artist, will lecture on her quilting journey, beginning with the first quilt she remembers seeing. Over 25 years ago she made her first quilt for friends who were expecting their first child. That first quilt was a traditional pieced quilt; she now focuses on abstract designs. She will also talk about the inspirations for her quilts. Come to the May meeting of the Farmington Valley Quilters to hear Tucker’s lecture, My Life in Quilts: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Her work can be seen at margetuckerquilts.com

The meeting is Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. in Eno Memorial Hall, 754 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury. Sign-in begins at 6:45 p.m. Guests are welcome for a guest fee of $10.
