As a member of Granby’s older generation, I can’t overstate how enthusiastic I am about Amanda Webster’s candidacy to be the 62nd District’s next State Representative.
As I’ve grown older over the last few years, I have noticed that the elders of our town are more and more forgotten by our state and local representatives. There are significant issues on the horizon for us, from health care to transportation to rising taxes and the end of our work life. What we need in Hartford are people who listen to our needs and keep fighting for us, not just more politicians who blindly follow party lines.
Amanda Webster has been getting to know her constituents one door at a time, one call at a time, every day for the past year. And she listens to the challenges we face. When she goes to the Capitol, I know she will be thinking of the individuals she has gotten to know, and bring our values and needs to the table. Even more importantly, she will bring an energy to Hartford that Granby’s representation has not had in some time, and she will use that energy to fight for our town to stop the steadily increasing taxes our citizens face.
There is no doubt in my mind that the right choice to truly represent Granby’s residents is Amanda Webster, and I encourage you to vote for her on Nov. 6.
