I have been very excited to hear news of the proposed Kearns Community Center. In times like these, where there are more and more ways to connect with people online from all around the world, we can still feel isolated and not even know who our neighbors are. People of all ages desire to be known and to share in common work together. The proposed Kearns Community Center will be a place where folks can join over food, music, art and nature. It will be a place to hold meetings, borrow a tool you might need for a project, or come lend a hand to someone who needs a skill that you have.

The planning group has done a great job connecting with existing community groups in Granby and the surrounding towns to make sure this is an effort where we are all working together to build a place for everyone—rather than reinventing something that may already exist. I love this town we live in and believe it will become better when we continue to connect with each other in small and meaningful ways. I can’t wait to see the Kearns Community Center become a reality!
