Destiny Africa Children’s Choir to perform at South Church.

The Destiny Africa Children’s Choir 2018 World Tour is coming to Granby. This multi-talented children’s choir has been touring worldwide since 2009 and delivers an amazing, heartfelt experience of joy and hope.

Destiny Africa is the choir from Kampala Children’s Centre in Uganda, a home for vulnerable children affected by poverty, disease and war. It is difficult to believe the hardships these children have already endured in their young lives as you listen and look at their smiling faces. The music they make is exciting, inspiring and vibrant.

The choir will perform in Granby on Sunday, Oct. 28, at South Congregational Church at 10 a.m. Their spring appearance was delayed due to problems obtaining visas. The performance is free although a free will offering will be collected.

Without Kampala Children’s Centre and the compassion of others, many of these children might not have survived at all. The centre’s goal for the 2018 U.S. Tour is to raise awareness for ongoing projects such as much-needed expansion of its on-site secondary school, additional female housing and sponsoring KCC houses’ food budgets. These projects are vital to the development of the children. They aim to provide an excellent education, good health care and optimal nutrition in a safe and loving environment.
