Former players surprise Coach Johnson at state Sportwriters’ Alliance Gold Key dinner

Legendary Granby Field Hockey Coach Dot Johnson recently was honored at the Connecticut Sportwriters’ Alliance Gold Key Dinner. Some of her former players from her 1980, 1982 and 1985 teams were there to surprise and honor her, including (from l.): Laura (Barnas) Paro, Carol (Christensen) Lorenzo, Elaine Brassard, Kristen (Schupp) Cormier, Trish Percival, Sue Fullwood, Kelly (O’Meara) Rome, Jen (Papagna) Braunmiller, and Sandy (Kenoian) Nilson.
