Patricelli-Regan has established an initial yearly scholarship in memory of her mother, Sylvia Davis Patricelli, for a graduating senior from Granby Memorial High School who is pursuing a career in the fine arts.

Patricelli-Regan and her parents previously lived in post-WWII Granby and she wished to encourage the creative arts within Granby’s academic curriculum in recognition of her mother’s success as an internationally recognized portrait painter from Australia. The finalists will be interviewed as guests on CT Valley Views to determine the final awardee.

Sylvia’s first exhibition was hosted by First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and sponsored by G. Fox and Co., WTIC and the Wadsworth Atheneum.  Patricelli-Regan provided a similar scholarship in 2017 in West Hartford as the Patricelli’s made their home in the town for over 40 years. Patricelli-Regan has donated paintings to the West Hartford and Connecticut Historical Societies as these institutions were most appreciative of their authentic importance. A selection of Mrs. Patricelli’s historical painting collections are available for purchase to support the respective scholarship programs.
