Cracking Cold Cases in CT: Wednesday, March 14, 1 p.m. Presented by Michael Sullivan, Chief Inspector of Chief’s State Attorney’s Cold Case Unit. Learn more about cold cases and how these cases get prosecuted. Register by March 7.

Scuba Diving Adventures: Friday, March 16, 10:30 a.m. Presented by John Silliman, AETNA Retiree Services. This spectacular program will take you under the sea to explore the colors and sights from  various scuba expeditions. Light refreshments will be served. Register by March 9.

Tea and Vintage Jewelry Presentation: Tuesday, March 20, 1:30 p.m. Sponsored by Panache on Park Boutique and Suffield By The River. Marguerite, from Panache on Park Boutique, will teach us about costume jewelry from the 1930s to current times. Bring your own vintage pieces. Tea and refreshments will be provided. Cost $5. Bears in Granby: Monday, March 26, 10 a.m. Presented by Paul Colburn, Certified Master Wildlife Conservationist. This engaging presentation provides an overview of the black bears of Connecticut. Artifacts will be shared with the audience. Cost $5. Register by March 19.

Calligraphy 101: Mondays, March 26 – April 16 at 1 p.m. Have you ever admired how beautiful calligraphy looks on cards and letters? Learn Blackletter Calligraphy, a classic, dramatic lettering style. Instructor, Debby Reelitz. Cost for 4-week session plus materials $85. Register by March 16.

Jukebox Bingo and Pizza: Wednesday, March 28, 4:30 p.m. Hosted by Keith Alan, Keith Alan Productions. Not your ordinary game of Bingo—have fun with a Name-That-Tune version for fun prizes. Dinner includes pizza, salad and dessert. Cost $6. Register by March 21.

New Programs For Your Health And Wellness

Live Well With Diabetes: Tuesdays, beginning March 6 at 1 p.m. Presented by Justine Ginsberg, Farmington Valley Health District. Do you have or do you care for someone with Type 2 Diabetes? This 6-week course can help you take control of diabetes. Learn to manage symptoms to get the most out of life. The Farmington Valley Health District sponsors this course at no charge. Registration in advance.

Karate for Adults: Tuesdays, starting March 27 at 9:30 a.m. Instructor, Master Jeff Firestone, Fred Villari’s Studios. Regardless of your physical ability, this program will teach easy to learn self- defense skills and concepts while getting good exercise in a fun, friendly environment. Cost $60 for 6 weeks. Yoga Flow: Mondays at 10:15 a.m. Rise and shine with this gentle, yet effective, yoga flow class. Instructor, Mary Fuller.

Gentle Movement and Balance: Mondays at 11:15 a.m. An exercise class designed to increase strength, balance, flexibility and coordination. Instructor, Paula Pirog.

Cardio Circuit Training: Mondays at 4:30 p.m. Timed stations, core work and stretching will invigorate you and get your metabolism heated. Instructor, Gina Marecki.

Chair Yoga: Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m. Enhanced breathing, increased blood flow, reduced tension and better posture are achieved through the various yoga poses. Great for those with limited mobility. Instructor, Paula Pirog.

Yoga: Tuesdays at 4 p.m. Thoughtful breathing and controlled postures. Instructor, Paula Pirog.

Tone-up Tune-up: Wednesdays at 10:15 a.m. Move to the music of the 50s, 60s and 70s. This is a low impact cardiovascular workout with intervals of weight work for upper and lower body strengthening. This workout does not go to the floor; core training performed seated or standing. Instructor, Mary Fuller.

Straight Forward Workout: Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. A cardio with step, weight work and stretch class designed to get your heart pumping with this classic workout. Instructor, Mary Fuller.

Chi Gong: Fridays at 8:30 a.m. A gentle, low-impact, standing or seated class focusing on flexibility, balance, healing and pain management. Instructor, Mary Ellen Mullins.

Cardio Combo: Fridays at 10:15 a.m. Quicker pace and more aerobics. Instructor, Mary Fuller.

Line Dancing: Fridays at 1 p.m. Learn to line dance from the Boot Scootin’Boogie to the Cha-Cha. Appropriate for beginners as well as advanced line dancers. Instructor, Jim Gregory.
