Stop & Shop loves its furry friends

Local rescue organizations were the recipients of a pet food drive at Granby’s Stop & Shop. On top, Angel Cruz, Stop & Shop store manager, shakes hands with Lisa Schmitt, owner of Mary’s Kitty Corner in Granby, one of the recipients. Underneath, Rosia Kennedy points to Cruz’s tie, which she challenged him to wear if 10 carts of pet food donations were raised. He sported a white shirt and tie for two days after 16 carts of donations were raised, thanks to the generous customers and diligent cashiers. This has been the store’s most successful pet food drive yet. Thanks to all who helped feed eight rescue organizations.
