Plows will soon give way to ploughs at Holcomb Farm. Sign-up for Summer CSA Shares today!

Have you ordered your garden seeds yet? No worries, Granby’s vibrant agricultural community has been busy even as you sit by your fire and watch the plows go by.

The Friends of Holcomb Farm’s own farmer, Joe O’Grady, reports that our non-profit CSA sales for summer 2018 are well underway, meaning seeds and organic soil-strengtheners have been purchased at wholesale prices. The more we can save, the more we can grow, the more you will receive, and the more we can provide to those in need through our Fresh Access program. It’s a virtuous cycle that leads to nutritious and delicious food on your table, and you can be a part of it by signing up for your share right now! To reserve your share, go to www.holcombfarm.org or call 860-844-8616.

Thanks for your financial support

As a nonprofit, membership organization, the Friends work to raise funds to pursue our mission—to preserve, promote and utilize an historic New England farm (including food for those in need through Fresh Access). The Friends count on support from a variety of sources: grants, net income from farming programs, fund-raising events and individual donors to the Annual Fund Drive. The 2018 Annual Fund Drive drew significant and growing support from the generous community (Granby and beyond), and we thank all who participated. Stay tuned in future Drummer issues for plans to grow more food for more people, while continuing to enhance productive use of this land bequeathed to the Granby community by Tudor and Laura Holcomb.
