Holiday Lighting
Join your friends and neighbors on Thursday, Dec. 3, 6:30 p.m. for the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Event at SBP. The Holiday Choirs from Kelly Lane and Wells Road will lead everyone in song, there will be a visit from the ‘ole Saint Nick and hot chocolate and cookies will be served. There will be a collection for the Granby Food Pantry as well as the Granby Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Toy Drive if you would like to participate.
Holiday Cookie Decorating Class
Learn how to beautifully decorate holiday-themed cookies. Decorate both gingerbread and sugar cookies that are shaped like Christmas trees, angels, ornaments, Christmas lights, mittens, candy canes, gingerbread houses, snow globes, snowmen, snowflakes, gingerbread men/women, Santa hats, holly, etc. Fee includes decorating instruction, cookies, icing and decorating candies/sprinkles. Travel to New York City to cheer on defending national champion UConn Huskies as they take on the Maryland Terrapins in the Maggie Dixon Classic at the World’s Most Famous Arena, Madison Square Garden. In this multi‐cultural art exploration program, art travelers in grades 3–6 discover amazing art secrets hidden all across the globe. Borrowing from Native American art traditions, craft colorful Shrinky Dink sun catchers and sculpt All About Me clay totem poles. Create people pots with feet and funny faces, inspired by ancient pottery found everywhere from Congo to Peru and beyond. Design intricate, eye‐catching Mehndi art gloves in India and bold repujado (metal embossing) masterpieces in Mexico. Make Aboriginal clay masks, and try a special kind of Italian scratch art, called sgraffito. Art‐venturers experience a multitude of materials and techniques, and bring home two‐ and three‐dimensional masterpieces each week as souvenirs from their travels. Zumba® Fitness With Meg
Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it out. We take the work out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. New styles and formats will be added to the fitness schedule this winter so that you can maximize your fitness level by cross training, and can stay excited with your workouts. Classes will typically be hosted in 6-week sessions; one class per week $54, twice per week $96, drop-ins $12 per class.

Combination Safe Boating / Personal Watercraft Course
The 8 hour Safe Boating / Personal Watercraft Class just in time for the upcoming spring/summer boating season. Upon completing this course the participant will have satisfied the DEP’s requirements and will be able to apply for their Certificate of Personal Watercraft Operation (CPWO). The cost to apply is $50 and is not included in this class fee. A Safe Boating Certificate (SBC) will allow an individual over the age of 10 to operate any recreational vessel registered in Connecticut except a personal watercraft (Jet Ski type vessel) on Connecticut’s waters. A CPWO will allow an individual to operate any recreational vessel including a personal watercraft. Any person required to have a SBC or a CPWO must have their certificate on board at all times while operating the vessel. For ages 10 and up.
