Before the major-league guilt of enjoying the sweet treats of the holiday season completely overtakes you, come and enjoy the bounty of the Cookies by the Pound sale at South Congregational Church. Lovingly made by hand, with incredible attention to detail and the best of ingredients, the variety of flavors and appearances will instantly bring a smile to your face. The elves presenting this annual extravaganza have diligently worked to tempt the taste buds of even the harshest cookie critic. You’ll find gluten-free and nut-free options as well.
Do you know someone who is a little under the weather? Welcoming a new neighbor to the area? In need of a hostess gift? These cookies are appropriate for any occasion, and they come without the hassle of baking and cleaning up.
Pleasingly presented and incredibly tasty, you will be challenged to get out of the parking lot without dipping into the bags. You are encouraged to buy a couple of extras to make sure there are some cookies left for Santa. You are also urged to come early, since this annual event has been known to be “cleaned out” later in the day.
On Saturday, Dec. 12, from 9:30–11:30 a.m. (or until the cookies run out), Cookies by the Pound will be held at South Church, 242 Salmon Brook Street in Fellowship Hall. For further information, visit: www.southchurchgranby.org. Proceeds from the cookie sale support the mission of the church, including local, regional, national and international projects.
