Sam – I – Am visits Granby for breakfast

Join in the fun Saturday morning, March 7, as Granby celebrates the birthday of Theodor Seuss Geissel, better known as Dr. Seuss. A breakfast of green eggs (no artificial coloring) and ham, served with toast, juice and coffee, will be offered to the very young and the young-at-heart. This fun-filled family event will be held at the pond building at Salmon Brook Park starting at 7 a.m. Additional sittings will be offered for 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. for late morning risers.  The room will be filled with Dr Seuss themed decorations, lots of his beloved books to read, and a possible visit from the Cat in the Hat himself.

You should not, will not want to miss
A fun-filled breakfast quite like this.
Do you like Green Eggs and Ham?
We think you will, oh Sam-I-Am!

What better way to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday and his love of children and learning, and show support for the National Education Association’s Read Across America?

You’re never too old,
 too wacky,
 too wild,
To pick up a book
and read to a child.”

      Dr Seuss
