On Mother’s Day we honor our mothers, grandmothers, god-mothers, and aunts for all the love and devotion they have given us, and the sacrifices they have made over the years. We tell them the words in our heart, “I love you,” and they are happy. We might also give them the lovely flowers of spring, take them out for a nice lunch, or give them something they have always wanted.
We think back over the years when our gifts were a bouquet of dandelions and violets in a paper cup, or a beautiful card or gift we made in school. Our mothers loved them all.
As they get older, we wish them God’s Blessings of good health and happiness. We wish the same for all women who exhibit the loving qualities of a mother.
