The amount of advertising determines the length of each issue of the paper, and local support pays for printing, technology, postage, and other costs associated with publishing a newspaper.

In an article on the development proposals for Kearns School in the February Drummer, Town Manager Walsh is hopeful that a contract signing will be completed by summer’s end, not the end of June as stated in the article.

Last year at this time, the Drummer was operating in the “red” and you responded generously to help us finish 2023 in the “black.” This year, thanks to a lot of hard work, modestly higher advertising revenue, a successful PuzzleSlam fundraiser and a grant from the Granby Community Fund, we’re looking at breaking even in 2024.
