Ducharme shares impact of Native American women

George Ducharme, Ph.D., spoke to members of the Granby Women’s Breakfast Group on April 6 at the Senior Center. Ducharme spoke about Native American women and their impact on today’s society.

Memorial Day Parade plans

Granby’s annual Memorial Day parade and program will be held on Monday, May 30. Parade Marshal Kenneth Rafoss announced that the honorary parade marshal in absentia this year is James O. Hall, U.S. Navy Seabees.

Limerick Lane Concert May 22 at South Church

On Sunday, May 22, at 3:30 p.m., the Windy Hill Guitar Ensemble will present Limerick Lane, a concert of traditional folk music from Ireland and Scotland arranged for classical guitar, interspersed with limericks and jigs composed by the students.

McLean opens a Little Lending Library

McLean opened the first Little Lending Library on the Life Plan community campus in early January. Conveniently located in the parking circle in front of the McLean Health Center, the lending library will contain a continually rotating supply of memory care books and resources for community members to borrow.
