After COVID closure for a year, the volunteers at Salmon Brook Historical Society are back at work. The research library is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon or by appointment by calling 860-653-9713.

The Granby Multiple Sclerosis Support Group will resume when the Granby Senior Center reopens. Meetings are at 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month.
The next Granby Men’s Breakfast e-Group is Friday, May 14. The guest speaker will be Dr. Joseph Baxer, president of the Connecticut Chapter of the United Nations Association, discussing the United Nations, its 75th Anniversary, and its relevance in 2021.
In observance of National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 6, members of Life Church New England invite the public to join them at 6:30 p.m. for a time of prayer for our nation. Life Church New England is located at 23 Griffin Road.
Celebrate Connecticut Trails Day with the Granby Land Trust. Join us on Saturday, June 5, at 10 a.m. for a family-friendly hike on the Seth and Lucy Holcombe Preserve.

The Gardeners of Simsbury will not hold its annual plant sale at Boy Scout Hall, but you can still purchase beautiful plants just before Mother’s Day!
If you drive by the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center almost anytime this summer, you’ll see why we say that the center is more than a stage. You may see one of the many private events in progress, such as musical rehearsals, athletic events, dance recitals, awards ceremonies and graduations.
All patrons over the age of 2 are expected to wear masks and sanitize their hands as they enter the building. All items being returned to the library should be put into the outdoor book drops prior to entering the building.
