On behalf of the Library Campaign Cabinet, I want to thank the entire Granby community for its incredible support of the main library branch renovation project. Throughout this process, we have met and talked to countless Granby residents that have offered financial support as well as their time and advocacy.

Several organizations immediately stepped forward this year to offer sizable donations to be used in the renovation project. Squadron Capital has already contributed $100,000 and the Granby Education Foundation has pledged $100,000 during this first phase. In addition, the Friends of the Granby Public Library and the Granby Library Association have each contributed $50,000. These critical, early donations have allowed the cabinet to begin planning work and hire consultants without using any taxpayer money to date on the project. We look forward to continuing a close relationship with Squadron Capital as the project develops and appreciate Squadron’s deep commitment to Granby.

The Campaign Cabinet will begin most of its fundraising after the bond referendum. However, even at this early stage, many individual donors have contributed generously for the project, demonstrating how much support and enthusiasm the renovation project has in our community.

To everyone who have pledged or donated—THANK YOU! Your financial support has made a huge impact already. Donations and pledges exceed $350,000 at this early stage. The generosity of Granby’s residents, who believe in the merits of the project and are willing to contribute in support of it, makes our jobs easy and joyful. Thank you for all that believe this project will enhance our town and serve all residents at every stage of their lives. To learn more about the project, please visit our website.
