Extending an invitation to the upcoming Granby Artists 25th Anniversary Showcase and Celebration was the finale of the presentation at the September Granby Women’s Breakfast at the Senior Center.
Carolyn Dittes and 25th anniversary co-chair Laura Eden encouraged breakfast guests to attend the Oct. 4 event at Holcomb Farm to see over 60 artists showing, selling and demonstrating their work and to participate in the hands-on activities for children and adults. They added that the fun will continue with food/drink trucks, desserts from Julien’s and Lost Acres Orchard and Bakery, along with live music from Avenue Groove and dancing.
The coordinator of the breakfast group, Corinne Dickerson, welcomed the crowd and introduced the speakers. Eden, one of the founding members of the Granby Artists Association, took the women on a brief historical journey, describing the humble beginning of the organization and the growth over 25 years. Photos were presented documenting the countless events and activities the artists have offered and the many ways they have engaged the community in the arts for more than two decades.
