The Granby Artists Association is celebrating its 25th anniversary and invites you to its big celebration. Join the artists for an Anniversary Showcase on Oct. 4 from noon to 5 p.m. at Holcomb Farm.

More than 60 artists, both current and past GA members, will be showing their work. Most pieces will be available to purchase from a variety of works including paintings, pottery, drawings, glass, paper art, woodworking, mixed media, photography, calligraphy, jewelry, sculpture and fiber arts. There will also be artists’ demonstrations, a giant interactive owl puppet and hands-on activities for all ages including a printmaking activity, mask making and a 3D tree collage. The showcase is a free event, but your RSVP is encouraged on the GA website, which will enter you in a drawing to win artwork donated by Granby Artists.

The evening celebration takes place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. and is a ticketed event. Celebrate in the North Barn with live music by Avenue Groove, a local R & B band, and enjoy a dessert buffet from Julien’s and Lost Acres Orchard and Bakery. Artwork will be on display throughout the event. Purchase your tickets in advance, $20/person, on our website.

Food and drinks will be available to purchase during both events from Zen Catering and Mobile Mixology. Spend the afternoon and enjoy lunch, dinner or a snack at the event. Enjoy a glass of wine or a mocktail while you view the artwork.

Both events are located at the Holcomb Farm main complex at 113 Simsbury Road, with art displays in the North Barn, Main Barn, Workshop and event tent. Parking is available there and at the Holcomb Farm CSA and Farm Store at 87 Simsbury Road. Shuttle service is available to take people to and from the farm store parking and North Barn.

Granby Artists is looking for volunteers to help with the event. Volunteers receive free Anniversary Celebration tickets. Contact GA at art@granbyartists.org to volunteer.
