Adjacent to Granby, nestled in the charming village of Tariffville, you’ll find the Tapestry Singers—a multigenerational vocal ensemble bound together by music and a shared sense of purpose.

Comprised entirely of volunteers from across Connecticut and Massachusetts, many from our own Granby, these singers generously give their time and talent to something bigger than themselves. More than a choir, the Tapestry Singers are a family—with a big heart and a welcoming spirit.

For more than 25 years the Tapestry Singers have held an annual concert with a rich mix of musical genres in a joyful celebration of community and song. Their performances have always carried a deeper mission: raising funds for Kateri Medical Services to help provide simple, decent and affordable medical care (basic care that we would take for granted) to people in Nigeria who otherwise could not afford it. Kateri Medical Services has built and maintained 10 clinics, and provided medical outreach, treatment and even mobile clinics to urban and rural areas serving thousands of children and adults annually.

This year’s concert, Stand By Me, will be held on Saturday, May 2, 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 3, 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Church Street in Tariffville. Admission is free. All are welcome to come, listen and be part of a tradition that proves music can make a meaningful difference, near and far.
