More than 25,000 eggs filled with candy will be “hidden” at Valley Brook Community Church’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 4 at 10 a.m. Pastor Clark Pfaff says, “This is our 25th year of giving the Easter Egg Hunt away for free to Granby and the surrounding communities. God has blessed us and we want to be a blessing to others, so we hope everyone will come and enjoy the day.”

The egg hunt takes place on the church’s 80-acre campus, 160 Granville Road in North Granby, regardless of the weather—if it rains, the hunt moves indoors. The egg hunt is for children ages one to 10 and they will be grouped by age. Everyone is encouraged to arrive early, so they have time to park and make their way to the field. Remember to bring a basket or a bag and feel free to invite your friends and their children.

Once the hunt begins it only takes about 10 minutes. After the egg hunt, children and their families are invited indoors for a scavenger hunt.

The community is also invited to attend Valley Brook’s worship services on that weekend. On Friday, April 3, there is a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. Pfaff says this contemplative service focuses on the crucifixion of Jesus and includes a communion service. On Easter Sunday, April 5, the church offers two worship services, at 9 a.m. and at 10:30 a.m. During the 10:30 service there will be childcare for ages infant through four.
