Cleaning out your closets? You can bring used clothing donations to East Granby Congregational Church, 9 Rainbow Road (Route 20), East Granby. The church has partnered with St. Pauly Textile Inc. to provide a clothing drop-off shed for community use.

The shed is designed to give community members a uniquely clean, convenient and well-cared-for option to donate used clothing. St. Pauly Textile Inc. partners with businesses and various organizations to distribute donated items here in the U.S. and worldwide, where ultimately the garments are worn by people who need them. East Granby Congregational Church receives funding for donated clothing, and also has the option to use donations to serve community needs.

With more than 1,300 clothing drop-off sheds in place, St. Pauly Textile Inc. collects more than 150,000 pounds of clothing every day and estimates that this clothing ends up in 44 different countries (including the U.S.) yearly. In 2022, the company kept in excess of 68 million articles of clothing out of landfills, which in turn clothed an estimated 8.3 million people worldwide. The company was founded in 1996 and is an A+ rated member of the Better Business Bureau.
