Transfer Station hours: The transfer station will be open Wednesday mornings (8 a.m. to noon) through Nov. 15. The transfer station will be open on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Trash Holiday: Thursday, Nov. 23, (Thanksgiving) is a holiday for Paine’s. All Thursday and Friday trash pickups will be delayed by one day that week.

Extra Trash: What do you do if you have extra trash? In these instances, town approved “extra trash” bags are available for purchase. The bags are $2 each. Paine’s will pick up ONLY these designated purple bags. Place the purple bags next to your trash barrel on your regular trash day. The “extra trash” bags are available at Granby Public Works, 52 North Granby Road from 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or from the Transfer Station attendant during Transfer Station hours.
Textile recycling: You can recycle textiles curbside, but you must contact Simple Recycling to schedule a pickup. It can be done online at simplerecycling.com or by calling 1-866-835-5068.

An entry level position is currently available. Work includes semi-skilled and skilled work in construction, installation, repair and maintenance of roads, bridges, parks, grounds, and facilities. Duties also include plowing snow, sanding roads, operating power equipment and performing heavy physical labor. A valid CDL is required.
