How blessed we are to have a warm home
and friends and family to share this day of Thanksgiving.
We are rich in things that truly matter.
Turkey roasted to a golden brown.
Potatoes mashed or baked.
Green beans fresh and crisp or in a casserole.
Pies of apple or pumpkin.
A time to give thanks to God, our Creator, for this bountiful food.
A time to ask Him for His Blessing on us,
and all who are in need or suffering in any way.
A time, too, for road races, football games, and walks in these brisk, late fall days.
A time to be grateful, and to pray for peace in our world,
and unity in our nation.
