Camera Club

The Granby Camera Club will meet on Monday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. at the Granby Senior Center. The program will discuss the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in photography. The scavenger hunt words are: frost, thankful and favorite.

Women’s Breakfast

On Wednesday, Dec. 6, the Granby Women’s Breakfast Group will be entertained by the GHMS Chamber Singers, directed by Mindy Shilansky. This popular program is a sell out so make your reservation early to guarantee seating. A delicious breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the program will follow at 9 a.m. In order to plan for an ample breakfast for everyone, please make sure to register on the senior website or call 860-844-5352. Cost $5.

Bottles, Cans, Blankets

The G-4s 4-H Robotics will hold its next fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 9, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at the Granby Congregational Church, UCC South Campus. In addition to deposit bottles and cans, the team will also be collecting clean, second-hand towels and blankets for local animal shelters. Please check your linen closet, gather your bottles and cans, and visit the G-4s on Dec. 9.

Men’s Breakfast

The Granby Men’s Breakfast Group will meet Friday, Dec. 8, at the Senior Center. As a special holiday event, Mindy Shilansky will direct the GMHS Choir in a concert. Register by calling the Granby Senior Center at 860-844-5352. Early registration helps the cook team plan for food orders and table setup. Arrive between 8 and 8:30 a.m., check-in and pay the $5 fee. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and the program will start around 9 a.m.

Breakfast with Santa

Join us on Sunday, Dec. 10 at 8:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. for breakfast with Santa at the Holcomb Farm North Barn Pavilion. Breakfast will include scrambled eggs, French toast, pancakes, home fries, sausage, bacon, English muffins and seasonal fruit salad.

Kids will have an opportunity to chat with Santa, his elves, Mrs. Claus and of course, the Grinch! There will be music, crafts and more.

To capture the magic of the morning, Kristen Weldon Photography will be on-site to get photos of your kids, or family, with the big man himself. The price is $25 cash or Venmo on-site will be accepted. First come, first served.

Stony Hill Holiday Party

On Thursday, Dec. 14, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Stony Hill Village Board of Directors and friends will host a community holiday party for village residents and guests. The community room will be decorated for the season, there will be light refreshments, some fun and games and an opportunity to spread holiday cheer.
