Rebecca “Becky” Cahill, 55, of West Granby, adored wife for over 24 wonderful years to Lawrence Cahill, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2023.
Becky was born on July 19, 1968, in Bristol, raised in Burlington, and graduated from Lewis Mills High School, Class of 1986.
Becky was an amazing and loving wife and friend. She will fondly be remembered as a kindhearted, compassionate, generous woman who loved helping others in any way she could. Becky had a heart of gold and dedicated her life to helping those with special needs. She loved all animals and was deeply connected to nature.
Becky met her husband, Larry, at the Granby Horse Council, and a year later, they were engaged on the rim of the Grand Canyon. She lived a life full of fun, endurance races on her horses, travel, and camping in national parks. Becky loved to have the best time and was always looking for the next adventure.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to celebrate her memory, her father and mother-in- law, Richard and Joyce Cahill of Westfield, MA; her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Donna Cahill of Simpsonville, SC; sister-in-law, Deborah Cahill of West Springfield, MA and niece, Catherine Cahill of Mauldin, SC. She will be missed by her family, many friends and her many animals.
She was predeceased by her father figure, Scott, who gave her away at her wedding and held a very special place in her heart.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The Cremation Society of CT in Windsor has care of the arrangements.
