Youth Mental Health First Aid

Do you have a youth or teen in your life who struggles with a mental health issue? Would you like to feel more confident in your ability to support them and get them the help they need? Are you a coach or teacher who would like to understand how to identify a problem a youth is struggling with more easily?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we are offering a class that may provide you with the skills and knowledge you want to have. The Youth Service Bureau in conjunction with the Farmington Valley Health District is offering Youth Mental Health First Aid. The class can take up to 30 participants and will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Senior/Youth Services Building. There is an additional two hours of online study that will need to be completed prior to the in-person meeting. We are pleased to be able to offer this class for free.

Join the 2.6 million first aiders that have chosen to make a difference in their community. Call the YSB at 860-844-5355 to register to attend.
