The Friends of Granby Public Library (FOGPL) wrapped up another successful book sale at the end of July—the sale generated over $13,500! All proceeds support the Granby Public Library with books, magazines, DVDs, museum passes and special programs for all patrons. The library also chooses some of the donated books for its general circulation, eliminating the need to purchase them.

A lot of generous patrons donated to the sale that took place earlier this year than in past years due to facility availability. The sale, which was held at the end of July instead of September, was very successful and raised one of the highest dollar amounts in the sales history. As always, the wonderful volunteers spent many hours inspecting, sorting, and moving all the items preparing for the three-day book sale event.

The Friends of Granby Public Library appreciates all of the support from the generous sponsors, our super volunteers, along with everyone that attended the sale to make it such a great success!

The Gold sponsors were Beman True Value Hardware and Windsor Federal Savings Bank; the Silver sponsor was Judy Guarco, realtor for BHHS NE Properties; the Bronze sponsor was Granby Dental Center. Paine’s Inc and Wine Etc. provided in-kind services. Many thanks!
