On May 9, guest conductor John Mastroianni worked with the Granby Memorial Middle School Jazz Band. Mastroianni is well known for his work with the Hall and Canton high school jazz programs and is currently a jazz professor at the University of Connecticut. It was an amazing experience for the GMMS students to work with someone of his caliber, and their performance rose to the next level as a result of the clinic.
