On June 4, celebrate Connecticut Trails Day by spending a morning with fellow outdoor enthusiasts on the Granby Land Trust’s Mary Edwards Mountain property. This family-friendly nature walk will be led by GLT Board Member and middle school science teacher Jennifer Plourde.

The hike will go down a hill on a loop trail and past a beautiful stream where Mary Edwards used to spend her summer days. Some areas may be wet or rocky, so wear appropriate footwear. Please leave your dogs at home. Parking is on Mountain Road near the intersection with Silkey Road. Meet at the trailhead at 9 a.m. To register for this Granby Land Trust hike, please email  info@granbylandtrust.org

The Connecticut Trails Day Celebration is part of National Trails Day®, a nationwide hiking initiative established by the American Hiking Society in 1993. Trails Day encourages the public and outdoor enthusiasts nationwide to seek out their favorite trails while participating in numerous events held in each state. The Connecticut Forests and Parks Association has been coordinating Connecticut’s participation since it began.
