Healthy Soil lecture

A free Earth Day event, Healthy Soil, will be held Sunday, April 24, at 2 p.m. in the Barney Carriage House at Forest Park, Springfield, Mass. Learn how to increase the life of your soil and prep your garden for spring planting. Featured speaker will be Anne Willard, a graduate of the Neag School of Education at UConn with a concentration in agricultural science and education. Soil testing will be available to attendees for a $2 donation. Please arrive 10 minutes early to submit your soil samples for testing. Masks are required. The lecture is presented by Western Massachusetts Master Gardener Association and is free of charge. Space is limited so please register online at wmmga.org or call 413-596-3686.
