VFW makes donation to Foxfield F.A.R.M.

Members of the Metacomet Post 1926, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Simsbury recently donated $500 to Foxfield F.A.R.M, made possible by the donations collected during three VFW Buddy Poppy Drives held in Simsbury during 2021. Foxfield F.A.R.M. is a non-profit established to provide an equine groundwork PTSD therapy curriculum for U.S. Veterans and First Responders. The program utilizes rescued/retired horses that are being rehabilitated and re-homed in a safe and productive new life. Presenting on behalf of the Simsbury VFW Post 1926 are (L-R) Jon Blume, Post Quartermaster and US Coast Guard veteran, and Lee Wilson, Post Commander and Army veteran from Desert Storm.
