On April 22, Granby’s favorite and longest-running trivia contest, the Gran-Bee, is back after a two-year hiatus. The seventeenth annual Gran-Bee promises crazy costumes, tough trivia, busy bee businesses, and silly surprises!

The Gran-Bee is a free, family-friendly community event hosted by the Granby Education Foundation at the Granby Memorial High School auditorium. Teams of three contestants compete in swarms (rounds) for the coveted Grand Bee Award and the Yellow Jacket Crown Award for best team costume. Team registration has begun so “buzz” over to granbyeducationfoundation.org to sign up, and check out past winners.

This annual fundraising event raises money through team fees and sponsorships from our loyal, local business community and donors. All proceeds from the Bee go to the GEF’s Community Grants Program to buoy up its innovative education programs for all ages, both through the schools and local nonprofit organizations.
