Something about white twinkling lights enhance the Christmas spirit in all of us. They brighten the night and leave us with a sense of joy and wonderment. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could light up the group of trees in front of Town Hall, the trees in the center of Granby and various other spots in Granby Center. How about decorating the lamp posts on Salmon Brook Street with some green wreaths and red bows? Let’s bring some cheer into Granby center.
Since we’ve raised these questions, we are willing to spearhead this project for next year’s holiday season display. We’ll be contacting a number of Granby officials and business leaders for advice on how we can accomplish these goals. Thank you to the various businesses who displayed the happy snowmen that can be seen throughout Granby Center. We noted the lights on the gazebo that livened up the Green, but the little tree needs some company as it stood all alone. Happy New Year and may 2022 bring all of us health and happiness.
