Getting dirty for a good cause

About 20 Granby Land Trust members spent a Saturday morning in late October working to clean up the trails on the GLT’s Godard Preserve with its trail head located off Donahue Road in North Granby. GLT relies on a full cadre of volunteers, with almost 50 property stewards, a 17-member all-volunteer board, a Youth Conservation Corps and rotating crew of members-at-large who are willing to get dirty on a weekend morning to help the GLT manage its properties. With 2,113 acres of land under our management and another 794 acres under easement, caretaking is a big job, and we are so grateful to our Land Trust volunteers for all the help they provide!
