The Friends of Granby Public Library (FOGPL) have wrapped up another successful book sale in September. The sales generated $13,665 which was the second highest amount raised!  All proceeds go towards supporting the Granby Public Library with books, magazines, DVDs, museum passes, and special programs for all patrons. The library also chooses some of the donated books for their general circulation without the need to purchase them.

There were a lot of generous patrons who held on to their book donations since last year’s 2020 book sale did not take place. This year’s large influx of books was reluctantly cut short during collection due to the large volume of donations and the shortage of space. As always, our wonderful volunteers spent many hours inspecting, sorting and moving all of the items preparing for the three-day book sale event.

Thank you to the 2021 Book Sale Sponsors: Gold—Windsor Federal Savings Bank and Beman True Value Hardware; Silver—Action Carpet and Flooring; Carmon Community Funeral Home; Dr. Lisa Peterson, mobile veterinarian, and Granby Dental Center.

The Friends of Granby Public Library appreciates all of the support from the generous sponsors, our super volunteers, along with everyone that showed up to the sale, masks and all, to make it such a great success!
