The Granby Women’s Breakfast on Wednesday, Nov. 3, will host guest speaker, Joe O’Grady, Farm Manager of Holcomb Farms, discussing Holcomb Farms past and future. Since 2014, Joe and his family have been living and farming in Granby. Joe came to West Granby from Long Valley, N.J. where he started an organic vegetable farm that serves as the pharmacy for a holistic family doctor. Prior to that, Joe worked for seven years on the fertile fields of the south fork of Long Island. Before he got into farming, Joe taught English in Rietavas, Lithuania as a Peace Corp volunteer. He is an avid hiker, having thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail from Maine to Georgia in 2003 and walking 2,000 miles of the Pacific Crest Train in 2008.

Breakfast will start at 8:30 a.m. and Joe’s talk will begin at 9 a.m. Reservations are needed as we are operating at a reduced capacity. Call Corinne Dickerson at 860-653-9891. Cost $4.
