On Wednesday, Sept. 15, Connecticut resident Jan Doyle will present Quilts and the Underground Railroad: Fact or Fiction? Doyle’s lecture includes stories of secret codes, hidden messages, and forbidden talk.

The lecture is Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. in Eno Memorial Hall, 754 Hopmeadow St, Simsbury. Sign-in begins at 6:45 p.m. Guests are welcome for a guest fee of $10.

Doyle leaves it up to each person to evaluate the evidence she provides and draw their own conclusions. “What makes my presentation unique are the historical facts juxtaposed with handmade quilts and the storytelling feature. It’s great fun when I use a bonnet, and transform into ‘Auntie Jan’.”

Doyle has her own show, Wyse Talk, on cable and YouTube. and has appeared on Good Morning CT.
