New barn rises at Coward Farm

It turns out that tobacco farming in Granby is successful: During the month of August, a third tobacco barn was added to the Coward Farm on North Granby Road (formerly Dr. Davis’s cow farm). The above photo was taken during its construction. The lush greenery you see in the foreground of the picture is not the tobacco—that is planted on the back acreage of the property—but rather the pumpkins, for which the farm is also famous.
