I hope this finds you and your family well. It is with pride and incredible pleasure that I welcome you to what promises to be another fantastic year in the Granby Public Schools.

The Granby Public Schools (GPS) has the reputation of being a “flagship” school district for the State of Connecticut. It is the efforts of the entire school community with a commitment to excellence that continuously elevates our sights for student achievement and social emotional wellbeing. I am grateful to all of you and honored to be your Superintendent of Schools. Thank you for your continued support. It was so exciting to open the doors to the Granby’s schools with safety, equity and academic excellence for students and staff on Aug. 26.

On Aug. 23 I delivered the opening address and shared my vision for this school year that will focus greater attention on promoting student success by meeting the individual differences of all our students. This vision, along with countless decisions made throughout this year, will draw on the wisdom and knowledge of this outstanding school community. Together we have built a school district that fosters relationships with students and enhances student confidence and achievement. We will continue to strive to meet the needs of each of our students and challenge our students to reach their highest potential.

The community’s commitment to health and safety was evident last year as we stayed in-person for the duration of the year, and I have no doubt that this commitment will continue for the 2021-2022 school year.

This has also been a busy summer hiring new administrative and teaching staff. Please welcome the following outstanding educators.
