After a long pause due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Granby Artists Association is launching a new event series at Lost Acres Vineyard this summer. We’re all excited to get up, out and into action and the Granby Artists Association is grateful to the Vineyard for this opportunity.

The new event series, Pop-Up Arts and Crafts at Lost Acres Vineyard, will happen Sunday, June 6, Sunday, July 18, and Saturday, Aug. 21. Rain dates are June 13, July 25 or Aug. 28 as needed. Opening hours will be the same as the Vineyard’s: Saturdays 12 – 6 p.m., Sundays 12 – 5 p.m. This will be an outside sales event. Hopefully this will turn into a new annual activity.

Many of the exhibiting members of the Granby Artists Association will be participating. There will be a unique mix of artists each month, so be sure to come each time and not miss out.

Doug Williams brings paintings. He is a contemporary Impressionist painter who primarily paints landscapes. He is inspired to go outdoors throughout the year to paint local scenes with changing seasons and light conditions.

Sue Canavan will be selling her handmade paper flowers. These flowers can be purchased by the stem.

Linda Yurasevecz will bring her pottery creations.

Avis Cherichetti has circled back to making fairy doors. There will also be the usual mugs and bowls.

Stuart Browning works in many mediums including pencil, pen and ink, pastels, watercolors, acrylic and oils. His work is influenced by his engineering training, which is evident in the detail. He will also be sharing his woodworking, including hand carved items such as wooden spoons.

Alyssa Coburn will be selling art prints, vinyl stickers, and greeting cards featuring her original illustrations. She will also be taking orders for custom watercolor house portraits.

Annukka Ritalahti will have stained glass, jewelry and glass beads.

Aimee Gilbert’s knitted creations such as scarves, shawls, cowls, hats and miscellaneous fun items will be there, too.

Lori Garcia’s art and jewelry will be available during the July event.

In August, Bill Bentley will bring his watercolors featuring landscapes, old farm buildings and flowers.

These free summer outings will also include live music and food from Grill n’ Chill. Join the artists and your friends at Lost Acres Vineyard, 80 Lost Acres Road in North Granby.
