Zen Restaurant Group teamed up with Waste Not Want Not Community Kitchen to distribute Thanksgiving meals. Submitted photo

Amidst a crazy year filled with incredible change and adjustments, the Zen Restaurant Group teamed up with a volunteer-based community kitchen in order to provide to-go Thanksgiving dinners to anyone and everyone in town.

The Waste Not Want Not Community Kitchen usually holds a large Thanksgiving dinner every year but due to current circumstances a gathering that large couldn’t happen. Thanks to this wonderful town, all of its supporters and those who purchased a Thanksgiving Package through the Zen Restaurant Group, there were 30 turkeys donated to Waste Not Want Not. With this donation, the Zen was able to provide 300 people with a Thanksgiving meal and an additional 200 servings of turkey soup that will be distributed for later meals.

In the spirit of giving thanks and showing appreciation to this community, Zen Restaurant Group coordinated a 300-meal donation for Waste Not Want Not every Wednesday in December. Without the help from amazing supporters and tremendous community members, the group would not have been able to be so generous.
